BRAND MERCHANDISE MANAGER

Role Description:

We are seeking a Brand Merchandise Manager to set the trade planning calendar and trade activity to maximise stock returns. This role will also be accountable for the inbound stock management, liaising with our production team and closely with the DC to ensure stock receipts on time to fulfill wholesale and DTC orders. This role is a key role within the business and will be required to be hands on with in-season trading, reporting and system maintenance. As well as manage inbound stocks this role will also be accountable for trading and managing the website and also maximising retail sales and margin. Working closely with sales and wholesale ensuring that all orders are placed within the critical path. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound Stock management

  • Liaise with production to ensure handover of stock and receipt into the DC.
  • Consulate and raising of all PO’s against the OTB.
  • Ensure all PO’s are handed to the production team in line with the milestone calendar, ensuring they are placed on time with  suppliers.
  • Maintaining item registration and ensuring the classification of products are upkept and online with strategic attributing.
  • Management of stock integrity ensuring exception reporting is managed regularly and SOH is accurate.

Merchandise Planning

  • Summarise seasonal performance, assess against budget and prior year, suggesting new season style and investment opportunities by category. 
  • In partnership with the leadership team plan the trade and tactical calendar to inform budgets.
  • Manage WSSI and plan sales, GP and stocks.  Forecast sales activity in accordance to trade calendar.
  • Weekly reporting on trade missed opportunities to inform future buys.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure that DTC stock is ordered to meet sales in line with wholesale order book.
  • Manage buying plans to maximise intake margin by implementing effective trade plans.
  • Option planning identifying pricing framework and category tiering. 
  • Store planograms, ensuring that stores receive the right level of inventory to trade.
  • Identify growth categories throughout the PSR process.
  • Lead PSR process for the brand.
  • Accountable for the investment sign offs post range reviews.
  • Manage the OTB in accordance with plan.
  • Proactively drive inventory requirements and provide robust forecasts ahead of time for major campaign launches.
  • Implement consistent and profitable refill/replenishment strategies and practices in a timely manner against size curve and style.
  • Identify areas for investment and reduction, at category, style, option and size level.
  • Proactively drive inventory requirements and provide robust forecasts ahead of time for major campaign launches.

E-commerce Merchandise Planning

  • Weekly reporting on channel specific performance related to product identifying the top 20 performers.
  • Merchandising the website to maximise stock return.
  • Lead the analytics via Shipify on sessions, conversion, search terms, AOV and spend behaviour.
  • Upload banners and online homepages, PLP, PDP pages creative.
  • Lead development requirements for the website in partnership with agency to enhance UX.
  • Constantly looking for opportunities based on comping LY and also maximising market share against the competition.
