Ena Pelly

PEOPLE

We love celebrating those that inspire us. Bec Vivian is one such woman and we were fortunate to spend some time with her recently to tackle our standard Q&A. Enjoy.

How did you start in this space?

I found our large industrial style space on a lazy Sunday afternoon walking down Ryrie street and immediatly fell in love, we had outgrown our exsisting space and in a split second i decided it was to be the new home of Blondie.

What inspires you to do what you do?

I love what I do!!! I have always been thirsty for knowledge, this has enabled me to stay current and an industry leader. I find inspiration in almost everything I do, travel, art, crystals and I'm a fein for "how to" social tutorials. I love colour and I attempt to replicate the colours I find in artworks and translate them into my colour / makeup work in the salon.

What 1 thing could your industry do towards sustainable change?

The hair industry is really starting to progress with sustainabilty but we are still far from perfect. I would love to see retail companies develp a bottle "swap out" to recycle all of the plastic take home retail bottles as well as the basin products we use, just as Ena Pelly is utilising recyled ocean plastics to manufacture their fur's.

Latest greatest idea you've had?

If I told you I'd have to kill you... haha. No, but we do have something very exciting launching soon!! Stay tuned.

Ultimate life goal?

To travel and work.

What could you not live without?

My house of boys, Blistex and my Gucci Ugg boots.

Best thing (forecast) to happen this year

Being able to fly overseas! I'm still waiting to get back to Coachella and then go relax by a pool somewhere in Mexico with a pomegranate sour.

Favorite way to spend a Saturday afternoon?

After a busy day in the salon with the blondie babes, I love settling in for the night with my partner Adam, our 5 boys & Saint, our latest (boy)

addition French Bulldog puppy, Toasting marshmallows in the fire pit in winter or soaking up the sun, by the pool in summer.

Favorite item in your closest? Why?

My handbag collection and my tan suede EP biker jacket.
